The first eight weeks for beginning runners focuses on building a disciplined routine to get oneself up and running. The class meets every Sunday morning and these weekly runs get progressively longer. The coach takes each person from where they are and attends to an individual’s needs, concerns, unfamiliarity, and tries to instill a positive mental attitude towards becoming a lifelong runner.

By the end of this eight-week class, even a complete beginner will be amazed by how far he or she can progress in such a short time. Most beginners will be able to run a continuous 10-12 miles by the end of this phase of the training. Click on the link below to view the training schedule.
